COVID-19 Enrollment and Persistence Strategy Grant

Job Title: Outreach Manager, ACAC
Contract Time Period: June 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022
Part-time: Anticipated 60-80 hours per month

The Outreach Manager consultant position will support the American College Application Campaign in outreach, training and communication needs for the COVID-19 Enrollment and Persistence Strategy Grant in partnership with San Diego State University Center for Equity and Postsecondary Attainment.

Job Duties:

  • Support outreach to American College Application Campaign (ACAC) states including individual state calls, participation in Network webinars and calls, and other activities as needed to mobilize the identified strategies for reaching Classes 2020 and 2021
  • Develop and conduct “train the trainer” sessions/webinars for ACAC state campaign leaders and other interested partners. At this time, all trainings are anticipated to be virtual
  • Develop and conduct ACAC high school trainings with support from ACAC state campaign coordinators. At this time, all high school trainings are anticipated to be virtual
  • Write articles and blogs for ACAC newsletters and other national organizations as needed
  • Support the SDSU College Counseling Now campaign to develop resources to meet the needs identified by survey results
  • Create and distribute new resources for ACAC training materials and curriculum
  • Work with ACAC team to identify and create content and engage opportunities through social media channels including editorial calendars, Twitter chats, and Facebook Live events
  • Participate in and support the ACAC virtual 2021 ACAC National Convening, as needed
  • Assist with conference presentations/webinars and other panel presentations as appropriate or needed to communicate about the available resources and about the grant progress, outcomes and lessons learned.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education, business or marketing
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired


  • Minimum 5 years of experience, including, but not limited to demonstrated efforts to develop and execute outreach, training and communication strategies for complex external facing programs
