As the strategy manager for high school innovation, Autumn works to strengthen school systems and college access practitioners. She does this through grantmaking, high school initiatives, professional development, technology and data, and school counselor leadership development.
Autumn began her professional journey as an AdviseMI college adviser at Plainwell High School in west Michigan. After two years of service with AdviseMI, she followed her passion for college access and completed graduate school at Indiana University. During her two years at Indiana, she was able to work with many academic and student affiars departments in supporting undergraduate students as they worked to complete their degree. She is excited to combine her knowledge and passion for both K-12 and higher education to support high school staff in building bridges between high school and college.
Autumn completed her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Western Michigan University. She was inspired to attend college after watching her mother work to earn a bachelor's degree throughout her childhood. A few years later, she was able to experience life as an out-of-state graduate student at Indiana University where she earned an M.S.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a graduate certificate in Institutional Research.
Outside of work, Autumn loves watching college football and tries to visit a few new stadiums each year. She also loves exploring new breweries, watching reality TV, and spending time with her family in the Metro Detroit area.
