Jordan Baah-Sackey


Jordan serves as a consultant to MCAN supporting a variety of initiatives.

Jordan previously served MCAN as an AmeriCorps VISTA, providing capacity building services to MCAN in support of larger organizational goals. She supported both the High School Innovation and Community Mobilization Strategy departments in maintaining and launching initiatives while focusing on outreach to schools and communities across Michigan.

Jordan has taught in elementary classrooms since 2015, both as a reading interventionist at Kent City Elementary and a classroom teacher. From 2015-2018, Jordan taught second and third grade English at Wellspring International Bilingual School in Hanoi, Vietnam and was the Head of the International Primary School. 

Jordan graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2014 with a bachelors's degree in international relations and a minor in Middle Eastern studies. She graduated in 2020 with a master's degree in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership from Grand Valley State University.

In her studies, Jordan has appreciated her GVSU professors who have helped cultivate her interest in exploring and pursuing new cultures and experiences. Jordan enjoys international travel and can often found planning her next trip.
