As partnership manager for College Completion Corps, LaDonna focuses on the development and supervision of college completion coaches, as well as managing relationships with partner institutions across the state.
LaDonna has worked in education for more than 15 years, starting in 2004 as an admission counselor at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas Texas. In this role, LaDonna substantially increased enrollment of students from her assigned region. She was promoted to the position of dean of women, where she trained, mentored, and counseled students ages 17-70. In 2012, LaDonna joined the staff of the College of Business at the University of Texas, Arlington, where she served as lead advisor and facilitated various programs within the college. She moved to Michigan in 2017, where she worked as an academic specialist for the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University. LaDonna was later named assistant director of both College of Arts & Letters recruitment and the Citizen Scholars program at the university. During her time at MSU, she also facilitated conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion with units across campus and established community partnerships for student engagement.
LaDonna earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baker College and a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University. She attended college later in life, which has given her a unique perspective and appreciation for non-traditional students. She is grateful to every colleague, friend, and family member who encouraged her along her journey to completion.
Outside of work, LaDonna loves spending time with her family and being out in nature. She also enjoys running, hiking, and volunteering. She also loves to travel, and wants to visit as many states and countries as she can.
