Partnership Manager, AdviseMI
She/Her/Hers

As partnership manager for AdviseMI, Lexi focuses on development and supervision of the program’s college advisers, as well as managing relationships with partner schools across the state.

Lexi always knew she wanted to help people by working in public service. After graduating from college, she served as an AmeriCorps member with the Michigan State University College Advising Corp, where she was the first college adviser to support Algonac High School. She has also worked as a licensed school social worker at middle and high school levels, where she provided mental health training to school staff members, implemented wellness initiatives for staff, and supported students and families receiving special education services to meet their academic and personal goals.

Originally from Texas, Lexi was encouraged by her grandfather, a Michigan State University alum, to attend the university and fulfill her goal of working to help others. Thanks to his support, Lexi enrolled at MSU and earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Social Relations and Policy. She also credits her grandfather with teaching her the importance of supporting and building a community, which guided her to earn a Master of Clinical Social Work, also from MSU.

Lexi is an avid crafter and spends her free time knitting, sewing, crocheting, candle making, and wrestling balls of yarn away from her cats.
