Mark Walker

Mark is the accountant for MCAN, preparing daily transactions and monthly financial reporting for the organization. His position is also responsible for payroll processing, budgetary reporting, and cash reporting to senior management. 

Mark has worked as a financial manager in a variety of industries including soft drinks, property and casualty insurance, public and charter school education, and manufacturing. All of his positions performed the duties for financial reporting and controls while always looking for process improvement in the back-office functions. 

Mark began his postsecondary path at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, where he learned life skills as well as classroom knowledge and created lifelong friendships. After earning his Associate degree and gaining a solid foundation of academic success, he transferred to Central Michigan University and earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, which led to a rewarding professional career with numerous organizations. As a believer in lifelong learning, Mark continued his education and earned a Master of Business Administration via evening classes at Northwood University.  

Outside of MCAN, Mark serves as the financial assistant for his church in Haslett. For fun, he enjoys taking his grandchildren on adventures of all kinds. In the summer, you are likely to see him at a baseball game (no matter where you live).
