Schuyler serves as an AmeriCorps VISTA, providing capacity-building services to MCAN. He works with the data MCAN produces to help support organizational goals within both MCAN and the Michigan Promise Zones Association.
Prior to joining MCAN, Schuyler worked as an associate banker at JP Morgan Chase. In college, he worked within Calvin University's Sports Information department as a live broadcaster for Calvin athletic events, as well as assisting with statistical input and public address. Within the field of education, he spent his summers from 2017-2019 working as a camp counselor at Camp Henry, which serves campers ages 8-17.
Schuyler graduated from Calvin University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education focused in history and social studies. He hopes to continue his education in fall 2021 by attending law school. His studies were driven by his parents and siblings who also graduated from Calvin University, and who went on to continue their education and make an impact in their respective fields.
Outside of MCAN, Schuyler loves to exercise, read, play guitar, and explore new places with friends and family.
