Dawn has extensive experience in human resources and compliance. Prior to joining MCAN, she worked as vice president of human resources at Farmers State Bank, where she managed payroll, benefits administration, and other organizational functions. Before that, she served as a compliance officer at the bank, providing HR guidance and regulatory support to agents and customers, and also worked as a compliance officer for Walton Insurance Group. Additionally, Dawn has designed and led training programs for customer service representatives and universal bankers, strengthening onboarding and professional development processes within community banks. Dawn attended Jackson College before transferring to Eastern Michigan University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis on social studies. She has always been driven by a deep interest in learning, and her college experience allowed her to explore diverse areas of study. This academic journey helped her develop into a well-rounded professional with a broad understanding of people, systems, and communities.
Outside of work, Dawn volunteers with the Stockbridge Athletic Boosters and enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and watching her three children participate in sports. She and her family also own and operate a small farm in Stockbridge, which keeps them engaged with their community and connected to local agriculture.
