MI College Match
MI College Match
MCAN is proud to launch MI College Match, a new partnership that will bring direct admission opportunities to thousands of high school students through College Bound Michigan. Starting this fall, Michigan students will be able to use EAB's Match platform to receive admission and scholarship offers from participating colleges and universities without having to complete a traditional college application.
Thanks to the leadership of Michigan community colleges demonstrating the promise of direct admission and growing interest from other colleges and universities, Michigan is well positioned to scale a statewide direct admissions strategy that connects every high school student to postsecondary opportunities. MI College Match is designed to reduce barriers to college enrollment while expanding awareness of the many pathways available. This advances MCAN's mission of increasing postsecondary access, enrollment, and attainment by helping more students see college as an achievable next step after high school.
How does it work?
Students create a Match profile that includes their high school transcript. Participating colleges review anonymized profiles and extend admission and scholarship offers to students who meet their criteria, eliminating many of the barriers associated with traditional college applications. This approach streamlines access by removing application fees, essays, recommendation letters, and other hurdles that can prevent students from pursuing postsecondary opportunities. This also opens doors to institutions that students may not have otherwise considered, increasing the likelihood of finding the right college for their educational and career goals. Match is offered at no cost to students, families, or schools.
Which colleges are participating?
MCAN and EAB are working with public universities, independent colleges, and community colleges across the state to help connect students with a broad range of postsecondary options. The following schools have already signed on:
