Cambridge Opportunities: Introduction to Cambridge International Courses

This one-hour webinar will be an introduction to Cambridge International program courses. Cambridge International offers full school support from pre-K through grade 12 with courses, teacher resources, and assessments. All teachers within schools that implement Cambridge International programs will be able to access the resources and implement courses in a flexible way. The core courses offered at the high school level can provide students with an opportunity to earn college credit, and recent research has shown that they have a strong positive impact on SAT performance. Time will be allotted for questions about the programs.

Cambridge Opportunities: Courses and Resources for English Language Learners

This 45-minute webinar will focus on the Cambridge International program courses and resources for English Language Learners. As an international organization supporting schools in over 160 countries, Cambridge offers English Language Learner resources that are the best in the world. Cambridge offers coursework SPECIFICALLY for ELL from kindergarten through grade 10. Teachers can access professional development and teacher resources to increase effectiveness. Finally, all Cambridge assessments are written under language accessibility principles, which is unique in the assessment world. The assessments allow ELL students to show that they know the content without being limited by test-item language.

Cambridge Opportunities: Expand Course Offerings through Cambridge International

This 45-minute webinar will highlight the unique courses offered by Cambridge International. Many courses align strongly with CTE programs, including accounting, digital media and design, media studies and travel and tourism. Cambridge International also offers the most diverse foreign language courses and several international titles, making it a great choice for Academy programs. Learn about the flexibility of becoming a Cambridge school, and providing resources for all teachers.

Ted Gardella, who has been a long-time partner with MCAN to help Michigan schools improve, is now working with Cambridge University Press and Assessment to support schools with the implementation of the Cambridge International programs for pre-K through grade 12 schools in the Midwest. He will present three webinars in partnership with MCAN to introduce Cambridge International programs and talk about the resources and benefits schools can expect.
