We are excited to announce the first major updates to MCAN’s Impact Map as of December 2020. Thanks to the help of our partners from around the state, we have been able to update our data on FAFSA completion, college enrollment, college persistence, college non-remediation rates, and college completion. Unfortunately, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we do not have new SAT data to report for the 2019-2020 school year.
Additionally, we have made updates to high schools, colleges, and LCAN’s that have received grants from MCAN since 2019, as well as schools that host high school advisors or college coaches through AmeriCorps programs such as AdviseMI, MSU College Advising Corps, Michigan College Advising Corps, and the recently launched College Completion Corps. These updates will help us at MCAN, as well as education advocates across the state, to have access to the most recent data available and hopefully help us to support school counselors, administrators and others working to increase attainment in the state of Michigan. The video below details many of these updates, as well as some general tips on how the map can be used for those who have not yet had the opportunity to do so. In the future, we plan to continue regularly updating the map to help achieve our state’s postsecondary attainment goal of Sixty by 30.
