Michigan Leadership Fellows

MCAN, in partnership with the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, is proud to offer a 18-month fellowship designed to prepare K-12 leaders to become the next generation of equity-minded, transformative school principals across Michigan. Michigan Leadership Fellows is grounded in the 4 Dimensions of Leadership from the Center for Educational Leadership to address overarching questions of how school leadership can ensure equitable postsecondary education opportunities for all Michigan students.

Michigan Leadership Fellows is open to assistant principals, associate principals, district or ISD staff, or school deans who have served in their role for at least three years and have the desire to move into secondary school principalship in the next one to four years.

The application for Cohort 3 is now open! The deadline to apply is Dec. 12, 2025.
