As MCAN’s human resources generalist and accounting clerk, Marta Litos runs day-to-day human resource functions, including interviewing and hiring potential staff members; administering employee records, benefits, and leave; and enforcing company policies and practices. She also assists with accounting tasks such as entering payable transactions, maintaining electronic files, preparing reports, and helping with payroll processes.

Marta started her career serving in senior executive assistant roles in the fields of government, healthcare, and insurance. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a specialization in human resource management, Marta transitioned to a 10-year career working in public and academic libraries, where her responsibilities included human resources, accounting, and business operations, culminating in an assistant director role.

Marta was the first member of her family to attend college. Motivated to expand her career options, she attended Capella University where she graduated with honors. She is thankful for the support of family, friends, and teachers during her educational journey.

Outside of work, Marta enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her interests include reading, gardening, and golfing.
