The annual Michigan College Access Network Educated Workforce Summit aims to convene a diverse array of stakeholders across K-12 education, higher education, and the workforce development sector focused on increasing educational attainment. Through strategic dialogues, the summit fosters collaborative discussions that integrate perspectives from across these sectors. This one-day summit will highlight the incredible work being done across the state to develop a talent pipeline that offers Michiganders — especially those from low-income backgrounds, those who would be the first in their families to pursue postsecondary education, and people of color — greater economic opportunities by aligning curriculum design and postsecondary credentials with today's talent needs. Attendees will revisit established best practices and learn about new successes in workforce education, empowering them to build stronger connections in their own communities and helping to build a better future for all Michigan residents.
The theme of this year's summit is Connecting the Threads, and attendees will explore ways to better align K-12, postsecondary, and workforce sectors to build momentum toward Sixty by 30 and create an agile and flexible workforce that is ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
School counselors who attend are eligible for three (3) SCECHs in Career Exploration and one (1) SCECH in College Preparation and Selection.
